O Trabalha Rio em parceria com o grupo Arco-Íris está de volta. Na próxima sexta-feira (23/2), das 13h às 17h, os profissionais LGBTQIA+ que estão em busca de trabalho poderão cadastrar seus currículos na Rua da Carioca, 45, no Centro. A Secretaria Municipal de Trabalho e Renda (SMTE) fez 449 atendimentos nos quatro meses de funcionamento do programa específico para esta comunidade.

– Depois de uma pequena interrupção devido às festas de fim de ano, o Trabalha Rio, em parceria com o Arco-Íris, retorna suas atividades de segunda-feira a sexta-feira, exceto feriados. Pioneiro no país, o programa tem como objetivo ajudar o público LGBTQIA+ a encontrar uma oportunidade de trabalho em uma de nossas empresas parceiras – afirmou o secretário municipal de Trabalho e Renda, Everton Gomes.

Servidora pública municipal há 22 anos, a transgênero Gianni Gomes da Silva ressaltou a importância de políticas públicas de inclusão, já que o preconceito contra a comunidade LGBTQIA+ ainda é muito grande.

– Além de termos dificuldade para encontrar emprego, temos que lutar para sermos chamadas pelo nosso nome social no ambiente de trabalho.

Antes do Trabalha Rio voltado especificamente para a comunidade LGBTQIA+, o programa estará na Rua Professora Amélia Pinto Chagas, 6, em Santa Cruz, na quarta-feira (21/2), entre 10h e 15h. No sábado (24/2), o Trabalha Rio estará na Paróquia São Sebastião, na Praia da Olaria, 559, no Cocotá. O programa na Ilha do Governador também será realizado entre 10h e 15h.
