Pesca do dourado continua proibida nos rios de Mato Grosso do Sul até março de 2025 – Agência de Noticias do Governo de Mato Grosso do Sul

A Assembleia Legislativa aprovou na quinta-feira (29) projeto de lei que prorrogou a proibição da captura, embarque, transporte, comercialização, processamento e industrialização do peixe da espécie Salminus brasiliensis ou Salminus maxillosus, popularmente conhecido por dourado, em todos os rios do território de Mato Grosso do Sul, até o dia 31 de março de 2025.

A lei foi sancionada em seguida pelo governador Eduardo Riedel sob o número 6.190 e publicada ainda na tarde de quinta-feira (29) em edição extra do Diário Oficial, passando a vigorar para a temporada de pesca que se iniciou no mesmo dia.

A pesca do dourado estava proibida em Mato Grosso do Sul desde 2019 por força da Lei 5.231 que estabeleceu uma moratória de cinco anos para a espécie, e o prazo venceu em dezembro do ano passado, durante o período de defeso. A Assembleia iniciou, em seguida, os debates para decidir se prorrogava a moratória e por quanto tempo, culminando com a aprovação da Lei 6.190.

Fica permitida apenas a modalidade ‘pesque e solte’ e a captura para consumo próprio dos pescadores profissionais e ribeirinhos. A lei também não se aplica aos exemplares criados em cativeiro.

Também pode haver captura de matrizes e de reprodutores no ambiente natural destinados à pesquisa científica ou à recuperação de plantel por agricultores de reprodução de alevinos devidamente licenciados e registrados nos órgãos competentes, desde que com autorização ambiental expedida pelo Imasul (Instituto de Meio Ambiente de Mato Grosso do Sul).

No período de vigência da lei deve ser desenvolvido estudo técnico científico e econômico para avaliar o comportamento dos cardumes da espécie nos rios do Estado que embasem nova prorrogação da proibição ou liberação da captura.

Esse estudo deve ser apresentado até dia 28 de fevereiro de 2025. Caso os estudos concluam pela necessidade da manutenção da vedação, a Lei 6.190 de 2024 ficará prorrogada automaticamente pelo prazo de mais um ano.
