Eleição do Conselho da Igualdade Racial acontece nesta sexta

A Prefeitura de São José dos Campos realiza nesta sexta-feira (5) a eleição para o Conselho Municipal de Promoção da Igualdade Racial (Compir), no Centro de Referência Afro-Brasileira (Rua Henrique Dias, 363 – Monte Castelo), das 14h às 18h. A população poderá participar do pleito que irá eleger 10 representantes da sociedade civil.

O processo de votação será realizado por meio do voto identificação e credenciamento dos eleitores. Os membros da sociedade civil que forem eleitos irão compor o colegiado no triênio 2024-2026.

Após a conclusão do pleito e apuração dos votos, o resultado será publicado no Diário Oficial do município, e a posse dos eleitos acontece no dia 17 de maio no Paço Municipal.

Candidatos

Ao todo 22 pessoas estão inscritas para concorrer a eleição. O candidato mais votado por segmento será eleito o conselheiro titular e o segundo assume como suplente.

O Conselho

O Conselho Municipal de Promoção da Igualdade Racial tem como finalidade propor, em âmbito municipal, políticas de promoção da igualdade racial com ênfase na população negra, povos indígenas, e outros segmentos étnicos.

O Compir é um órgão permanente e consultivo, de representatividade da igualdade racial e está vinculado à Secretaria de Apoio Social ao Cidadão, por meio da Assessoria de Políticas Públicas para Igualdade Racial.

O Conselho é formado paritariamente por 20 membros titulares, sendo 10 representantes da Sociedade Civil e 10 do poder público municipal, sendo os representantes da Sociedade Civil eleitos e os representantes do poder público municipal indicado pelo chefe do poder executivo municipal.
