PRP lança edital para uso do supercomputador Santos Dumont no LNCC – IFSP

A Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação (PRP) torna pública a abertura de submissões de projetos para utilização do supercomputador Santos Dumont, um dos mais poderosos equipamentos de computação de alto desempenho da América Latina.

As propostas podem ser submetidas até o dia 20 de dezembro de 2024, por meio de formulário eletrônico disponível no seguinte endereço https://forms.gle/MQJwUZ7jtjRfAcQt5. 

Assim como realizado em 2023, a seleção dos projetos será realizada em fluxo contínuo, por ordem de submissão, para manter quatro projetos em execução simultânea. Cada projeto aprovado terá à disposição 100 mil Unidades de Armazenamento (UAs) por um período de seis meses, além de 2 TB de espaço na área Scratch e 500 GB de espaço na área Home.

Os projetos selecionados também terão acesso prioritário (QOS) às filas de processamento. O supercomputador Santos Dumont oferece aos pesquisadores do IFSP uma ampla gama de recursos computacionais, incluindo:

  • Processamento paralelo em CPUs e GPUs;
  • Alto poder de processamento, ideal para projetos complexos e demandantes;
  • Armazenamento de alta capacidade para grandes conjuntos de dados;
  • Acesso a softwares e ferramentas avançadas para pesquisa científica.

O acesso ao supercomputador Santos Dumont é fruto de um acordo de cooperação entre o IFSP e o Laboratório Nacional de Computação Científica (LNCC), no âmbito do Programa Embaixadores do LNCC.
