As equipes da Coordenadoria de Controle de Endemias Vetoriais (CCEV) da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (Sesau) circularão das 16h às 22h pelas ruas dos seguintes bairros: Universitário e Alves Pereira.
Para uma maior eficácia do inseticida, é necessário que o morador abra portas e janelas, assim o veneno consegue atingir os locais onde há maior probabilidade de estarem os mosquitos.
Os serviços podem ser adiados ou até mesmo cancelados em caso de chuvas, ventos ou neblina, uma vez que tais atividades meteorológicas prejudicam a aplicação do veneno.
O inseticida atinge os mosquitos adultos, preferencialmente as fêmeas, que são as transmissoras das doenças. Ainda assim é possível que outras espécies sejam atingidas e, por isso, é necessária uma aplicação criteriosa do veneno.
