Campanha de incentivo à coleta seletiva da Comlurb chega a Santa Teresa e Jacarepaguá – Prefeitura da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro

A Comlurb promoveu, neste sábado (25/5), a campanha de conscientização de incentivo à coleta seletiva em dois bairros: no Largo da Lagoinha, em Santa Teresa, com a participação do grupo Chegando de Surpresa, que faz canções sobre o descarte correto do lixo, e na feira livre da Rua General José Eulálio, no Anil, em Jacarepaguá. As ações têm como objetivo estimular nos cariocas a prática da separação de materiais potencialmente recicláveis.

A campanha de incentivo à coleta seletiva ocorre desde março do ano passado. Em 2023, o foco da Comlurb foi direcionado a praças e praias, com um total de 48 ações em pontos de grande visibilidade das zonas Norte, Sul, Central e Oeste. Este ano, as ações estão concentradas nas feiras livres de todas as regiões da cidade.

Durante a campanha, são distribuídos panfletos informativos, que tiram dúvidas e orientam a população. Atualmente, o serviço de coleta seletiva da Comlurb atende a 122 bairros da cidade. Todo o material coletado é entregue para 28 cooperativas de catadores, que fazem a separação e comercializam os produtos. O lixo reciclável garante assim trabalho e renda aos cooperativados e suas famílias.

Para que o ciclo da reciclagem obtenha êxito cada vez maior é fundamental que os moradores participem desse processo, promovendo a separação do lixo em suas residências. Sem a participação da população, o serviço de coleta seletiva se torna improdutivo.
