Circulando por dois bairros, fumacê reforça combate ao Aedes  – CGNotícias

O combate ao mosquito Aedes Aegypti, transmissor de arboviroses como Dengue, Zika e Chikungunya, será reforçado em dois bairros de Campo Grande, com o uso do serviço de borrifação ultrabaixo volume (UBV) – conhecido como Fumacê, nesta terça-feira (14).

As equipes da Coordenadoria de Controle de Endemias Vetoriais (CCEV) da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (Sesau) circularão das 16h às 22h pelas ruas dos seguintes bairros: Jardim Tarumã e Centro Oeste.

Para uma maior eficácia do inseticida, é necessário que o morador abra portas e janelas, assim o veneno consegue atingir os locais onde há maior probabilidade de estarem os mosquitos.

Os serviços podem ser adiados ou até mesmo cancelados em caso de chuvas, ventos ou neblina, uma vez que tais atividades meteorológicas prejudicam a aplicação do veneno.

O inseticida atinge os mosquitos adultos, preferencialmente as fêmeas, que são as transmissoras das doenças. Ainda assim é possível que outras espécies sejam atingidas e, por isso, é necessária uma aplicação criteriosa do veneno.
