Com objetivo de fortalecer a prevenção e o combate a incêndios florestais na região de São José dos Campos, a Defesa Civil do município participou do treinamento preparatório para a operação São Paulo Sem Fogo, nesta quinta (2) e sexta-feira (3).
A oficina é uma iniciativa da Defesa Civil Estadual que visa transmitir conhecimentos para que as equipes da Defesa Civil da região atuem com mais eficiência, tanto na fase preventiva quanto de resposta, neste que é o período com maior incidência de incêndios em vegetações.
O programa de treinamento aborda instruções teóricas e práticas. Os tópicos incluem planos de contingência e previsão meteorológica, emissão de alertas e comunicação durante desastres, estratégias para lidar com incêndios florestais e proteção da vida selvagem, bem como questões de saúde pública durante os períodos de estiagem.
