O primeiro dia de vacinação contra dengue em Sorocaba, nesta segunda-feira (6), imunizou 516 crianças de 10 anos em 30 Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBSs). Nesta semana, a imunização seguirá, das 10h às 16h, de forma escalonada: na terça-feira (7) para crianças de 10 anos, e na quarta (8), quinta (9) e sexta-feira (10) para crianças de 11 anos.
Somente as UBSs Fiori, Simus e Hortência não ofertarão a vacina, no momento, pois estão funcionando com atendimento exclusivo para pacientes com sintomas da dengue.
Na UBS Maria do Carmo, a Júlia Pacheco Lopes, de 10 anos, já garantiu sua aplicação. “Não podemos perder a oportunidade, temos que estar com todas as vacinas em dia, inclusive contra a dengue”, afirma a pequena.
Júlia estava acompanhada de sua mãe Karina Pacheco Lopes, que salientou a importância da imunização. “Estávamos aguardando com ansiedade. Que bom que a vacina chegou para as crianças. Agora é aguardar para que nós adultos também possamos tomar”, declara a mãe.
Vale lembrar que pacientes imunossuprimidos não devem se vacinar, devido à contraindicação. É necessário respeitar um intervalo de seis meses, caso o munícipe tenha contraído dengue. Outra recomendação da Secretaria da Saúde (SES) é que a segunda dose deve ser recebida somente após 90 dias da primeira aplicação.
