Programa ‘MS Saúde – Mais Saúde, Menos Fila’ realiza primeira cirurgia de correção de fissura lábio-palatal

O Governo de Mato Grosso do Sul, por meio do programa MS Saúde – Mais Saúde, Menos Fila e Associação de Amparo à Maternidade e a Infância realiza nesta quarta-feira (5) a primeira cirurgia para correção de fissura labiopalatal da segunda etapa do projeto que visa reduzir a espera por procedimentos. O paciente é um menino de 10 meses do município de Ribas do Rio Pardo.

Para a secretária-adjunta de Saúde, Crhistinne Maymone, o início dos procedimentos da especialidade é um importante marco dentro do MS Saúde. “É gratificante ver que um procedimento tão aguardado como esse está sendo oferecido pelo SUS em Mato Grosso do Sul. Essa é uma conquista de todos os trabalhadores da Saúde do Estado, que não medem esforços para melhoria do atendimento ofertado à população”, disse.

Segundo a superintendente de Gestão da Estratégica da SES, Maria Angélica Benetasso, o programa identificou uma fila de 237 pessoas, entre adultos e crianças, que aguardam pela cirurgia no Estado.

“São pacientes de várias regiões do Estado, em sua maioria crianças, que foram regulados através da demanda identificada pelo programa em parceria com a Funcraf (Fundação para Estudo e Tratamento Deformidades Craniofaciais Craniofaciais, Fissura Lábio Palatina, Tratamento de Deformidades) ”, explica.

Ainda de acordo com a superintendente, a expectativa é que todos os pacientes que estão na fila sejam atendidos até o final do ano. “É uma cirurgia que transforma a vida das pessoas, que resgata autoestima e promove, além de todos os benefícios clínicos, o aumento da autoconfiança. Todos os pacientes já regulados estão passando por avaliação com a equipe médica para posteriormente ter o procedimento agendado”, acrescenta.

Fissura lábio-palatal e lábio leporino

A condição consiste numa abertura no lábio ou no palato (céu da boca), podendo ser completa, lábio e palato. Essas aberturas resultam do desenvolvimento incompleto do lábio, ou do palato, enquanto o bebê está se formando, antes de nascer. O lábio e o céu da boca desenvolvem-se separadamente durante os três primeiros meses de gestação, conforme dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, do Ministério da Saúde.

Nas fissuras mais comuns o lado esquerdo e o direito do lábio não se juntam, ficando uma linha vertical aberta. A mesma situação pode acontecer com o céu da boca. Em casos mais raros pode haver duas fissuras no palato, uma do lado direito e outra do lado esquerdo.

O lábio pode ser reparado nos primeiros meses de vida. O céu da boca leva mais tempo. As datas exatas dessas intervenções cirúrgicas dependem do desenvolvimento do bebê e são determinadas pela equipe técnica. Haverá sempre uma avaliação do médico pediatra.
