Na parte teórica, surgiram diversas dúvidas. “Acho que na praia tem um monte de mosquito porque lá tem muita água”, “Sem água parada nos ambientes”, “Só tem que beber a água”, foram algumas das frases ditas pelas crianças. 

Como de costume, na etapa prática da aula, foram montados contextos para que elas pudessem identificar possíveis focos do mosquito em espaços semelhantes ao que podem ser encontrados em casa. Garrafas sem a tampa com acúmulo de água no quintal, pratinhos de planta, pratinhos com água para os animais e até pneus com água parada, fizeram parte das propostas. 

A diretora-pedagógica do CEI, Ordália Almeida, avalia que o CEI Detran tem oportunizado às crianças inúmeras experiências que lhes propiciam ter acesso a conhecimentos da vida cotidiana. “Esta é a perspectiva que orienta nossa proposta pedagógica, uma formação conectada com a realidade social. Em se tratando do grande índice de Dengue, doença contagiosa, foi importante conscientizar as crianças sobre a doença e cuidados. No CEI todos os conhecimentos são transformados em vivências práticas para que as crianças compreenda de forma mais significativa. Ressaltamos que o trabalho que aqui realizamos, precisa do apoio e do incentivo das famílias”, alertou. 

O Detran-MS (Departamento Estadual de Trânsito de Mato Grosso do Sul) também tem intensificado as ações de combate ao mosquito. A dedetização, que antes era quadrimestral, passou a ser mensal. Isso ocorre tanto na Capital, quanto no interior mediante agendamento prévio.  Além das visitas quinzenais do agente de saúde, são disponibilizados sprays inseticidas para os blocos da sede e agências. 

Outra medida é a periodicidade da roçada na sede e nos pátios do interior, que contribui para evitar o acúmulo de lixo ou recipientes que possam se tornar focos de dengue. “Nossos colaboradores do serviços gerais, são orientados a manter a vigilância constante, inclusive na área onde são armazenados os veículos apreendidos e que possuem algum tipo de restrição”, afirma Terezinha Martins Cabral, Gerente de Serviços Administrativos do Detran-MS. 

O boletim epidemiológico divulgado pela SES (Secretaria de Estado de Saúde) na última quinta-feira (15) apontou que 2.816 casos da doença estão sendo investigados no Estado, assim como dois óbitos. Em 2023, Mato Grosso do Sul registrou 24 mortes por dengue no Estado, representando um aumento de 100% com relação ao ano de 2022, que teve 12 óbitos no Estado.
