O helicóptero da Sejusp opera  com cinco militares especialistas em busca e salvamento. Também o Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Mato Grosso do Sul atua, desde a semana passada, no estado gaúcho, com quatro embarcações e equipamentos para resgate. O grupo tem oito especialistas em salvamento aquático e mergulho e um médico. Além disso, as equipes de MS já transportaram 1.350 marmitas, 300 kg de fraldas, 1.250 kg de alimentos, 2.050 garrafas de água.

Para auxiliar a população do Rio Grande do Sul,  o Governo do Estado enviou também ontem (8) dois caminhões com água e equipes da Defesa Civil que vão auxiliar no resgate às vítimas.

O comandante do Corpo de Bombeiros de MS, Frederico Reis, adiantou que em um segundo momento, quando as águas baixarem, a corporação militar deve enviar mais uma equipe, que vai seguir com militares e cães para ajudar na parte de busca.

De acordo com o boletim da Defesa Civil do Rio Grande do Sul desta quinta-feira (9) pela manhã,  107 pessoas já morreram em virtude dos temporais que atingem o estado e 164 mil estão desalojadas e 136 desaparecidas.

A população de Mato Grosso do Sul poderá ajudar as vítimas do pior desastre climático da história do Rio Grande do Sul. Todas as escolas da Rede Estadual e unidades das forças de segurança estadual, como Polícia Militar e Corpo de Bombeiros Militar, além do Centro de Convenções Albano Franco e o edifício da Fiems,  estão arrecadando alimentos não perecíveis, produtos de higiene e de limpeza, água mineral, roupas de cama e banho e roupas e calçados em bom estado.
