O Sabadinho Bom deste final de semana – 1º de junho – será no ritmo das festas juninas. A atração é o sanfoneiro Helinho Medeiros, que promete tocar alguns chorinhos, mas priorizando o clima de São João. O evento, realizado pela Fundação Cultural de João Pessoa (Funjope), acontece na Praça Rio Branco, a partir das 12h30.

“Eu tenho sempre dito que o Sabadinho Bom é uma experiência cultural, mas, sobretudo, um ambiente de encontro de gerações na cidade de João Pessoa. E nós estamos sempre mantendo boas atrações musicais da Paraíba, música de qualidade. Agora mesmo integramos variados estilos musicais com choro, samba, com algumas variações de forró também”, disse o diretor executivo da Funjope, Marcus Alves.

Ele afirmou que, agora, diante do ciclo junino, a Funjope está atraindo músicos de forró para proporcionar a melhor experiência cultural e musical da região Nordeste, que são os festejos juninos. “Ficamos muito contentes de poder ofertar à cidade de João Pessoa o Sabadinho Bom, que é uma atração para o nosso morador e para os que nos visitam todas as tardes de sábado na Praça Rio Branco”, acrescentou.

O músico Helinho Medeiros também acredita que será um momento alegre e divertido para o público e para ele. “Fico muito feliz e honrado em participar do Sabadinho Bom, que já é parte da programação cultural de João Pessoa. Um evento que acontece de forma perene e já é tradição na cidade. É muito interessante esse tipo de iniciativa por parte de um órgão de fomento à cultura tão importante para nossa cidade, como é o caso da Funjope”, declarou.

Para esquentar o clima junino, o artista vai apresentar um repertório majoritariamente junino. “Estaremos tocando no primeiro dia do mês de junho, estando assim com a incumbência de dar a largada nos festejos deste mês tão importante para a cultura nordestina e brasileira. Obviamente, não deixaremos de tocar também um repertório de choros, para honrar a tradição do Sabadinho. Vai ser uma mistura maravilhosa”, destaca.

No repertório tem nomes como Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Antônio Barros e Cecéu, os Três do Nordeste, Trio Nordestino, Santanna, Flávio José, entre outros clássicos. “Tudo isso em uma performance que vai fazer o suor dar na canela, porque a gente quer ver o poeirão levantar”, brinca o artista que, além de comandar a sanfona, é a voz do grupo.

A banda que acompanha Helinho Medeiros terá formação tradicional de forró com sanfona, zabumba e triângulo, aliados a instrumentos mais tradicionais de choro, como cavaquinho e violão de sete cordas. Os músicos são Gledson Meira, na zabumba; Luis Umberto, no violão de sete cordas; Jader Finamore, no cavaquinho; e Betinho Lucena, no triângulo, pandeiro e voz.

A apresentação terá músicas instrumentais – choros e forrós -, mas também terá muito forró, xote, xaxado, baião e arrasta-pé, com Helinho Medeiros e Betinho Lucena dividindo os vocais das músicas. “Estou muito feliz e empolgado em poder abrir os festejos juninos tocando nesse patrimônio cultural pessoense que é o Sabadinho Bom. Podem esperar um repertório bem animado para dançar do início ao fim. Vai ser um dia para a gente guardar com muito carinho na nossa memória. Venham e divirtam-se”, convida o músico.

Ele lembra ainda que este Sabadinho Bom fará uma grande homenagem ao forró e à cultura nordestina. “Iremos reverenciar nossos grandes mestres e bater no peito com muito orgulho afirmando nossa identidade. Viva o forró e viva a música nordestina brasileira”, completa.
