Indignada e decidida a proteger Joana, Dona Patroa elabora um plano audacioso. Juntas, elas arquitetam uma armadilha para desmascarar Egídio e liberar Joana e Tião de suas manipulações. O plano envolve Joana fingindo aceitar a proposta de Egídio, garantindo que ele pague antecipadamente pela suposta noite de amor.
