A alfabetização é uma importante fase na Educação Básica, marcando o início de infinitas possibilidades para os cidadãos.
Na rede de ensino municipal, essa fase recebe olhar atento das equipes gestoras e investimentos da Prefeitura em tecnologias, formação de professores, recursos e materiais didáticos específicos de alfabetização, além de monitorar e avaliar a aprendizagem dos alunos.
Segundo dados divulgados pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC) nesta terça-feira (28), São José dos Campos alcançou a média de 57,4% no patamar de alfabetização das crianças. Os resultados são provenientes de pesquisas realizadas pelo Inep (Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira).
O número supera a média do país e a do estado de São Paulo, que registraram 56% e 52% respectivamente. Quando comparada com cidades paulistas do mesmo porte, São José dos Campos também está na dianteira e detém os melhores dados entre cidades com população acima de 500 mil habitantes.

Segundo equipe técnica da Secretaria de Educação e Cidadania, essa avaliação permite identificar a performance dos alunos, possibilitando a elaboração de uma proposta pedagógica pontual, que atenda as necessidades de aprendizagem recorrentes dessa faixa etária.
O 1º Relatório de Resultados do Indicador Criança Alfabetizada estabeleceu metas progressivas nacionais de alfabetização dos estudantes da rede pública, e o objetivo é que até 2030 todas as cidades do país atinjam 80% de crianças alfabetizadas.
Por meio do Compromisso Nacional Criança Alfabetizada, lançado pelo MEC em 2023, o foco é assegurar que todos os estudantes brasileiros estejam alfabetizados ao final do 2º ano do ensino fundamental, além de recompor as aprendizagens, com ênfase na alfabetização de todas as crianças matriculadas no 3º, 4º e 5º anos afetadas pela pandemia.
O Compromisso teve adesão de 5.558 municípios e de todos os estados brasileiros, incluindo São José dos Campos. A cidade atua em conjunto com o programa Alfabetiza Juntos SP, lançado pelo governador Tarcísio de Freitas e o secretário da Educação do Estado de São Paulo, Renato Feder.
Ler, escrever e compreender
Desde 2021, a rede de ensino municipal planeja e executa o processo de alfabetização desde a Educação Infantil, com a meta de alfabetizar 100% dos alunos até o final do 2º ano.
Este trabalho conta com toda dedicação dos professores alfabetizadores e projetos inovadores como o programa Recupera, que visa intensificar as ações pedagógicas e minimizar os impactos da pandemia na aprendizagem, com materiais didáticos e jogos lúdicos para alunos.
O Recupera faz parte do Plano de Gestão 2021-2024 e dispõe de formação específica de alfabetização para educadores, além de plantões aos sábados e aulas de Recuperação Paralela.
A Prefeitura também investe na leitura, trabalhando escrita, oralidade e interpretação de textos, incentivando a prática e avaliando os alunos. São José se destaca entre as cidades do Estado de São Paulo com mais de 500 mil habitantes na categoria fluência leitora, registrando 73% de alunos leitores, segundo dados da Secretaria da Educação do Estado.
As escolas contam ainda com o programa educação 5.0, que está consolidando a cultura digital com foco nas habilidades e competências socioemocionais dos estudantes, com ferramentas tecnológicas como a Plei (Plataforma de Educação Integral) para os alunos do 1º ao 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental, fornecendo espaços modernos, dinâmicos e colaborativos.
