Produtores de SP anunciam novo investimento no setor de citricultura em Três Lagoas – Agência de Noticias do Governo de Mato Grosso do Sul

Mato Grosso do Sul vai receber uma nova produção de citricultura, desta vez na cidade de Três Lagoas. Produtores de São Paulo anunciaram o plantio de laranja em uma área de 5,1 mil hectares, com a intenção inclusive de instalar uma fábrica no futuro. Os empresários se reuniram nesta sexta-feira (10) com o governador Eduardo Riedel.

A nova produção mostra o cenário de expansão da citricultura no Estado, com a chegada de mais produtores que encontraram aqui um ambiente de negócios propício, apoio e parceria com o Governo do Estado, além de clima que favorece esta nova fronteira agrícola.

O empresário Jamil Buchalla Filho, um dos responsáveis pela nova produção, revelou que este investimento em citricultura vai começar com o plantio em uma área de 760 hectares em Três Lagoas, que vai chegar depois a 5 mil hectares. Ela será feita com irrigação e o objetivo do grupo é fazer um fábrica na região.

“Vamos fazer esta nova produção de citricultura no Estado e por isso viemos aqui conversar com o governador. Saímos satisfeitos com a receptividade e portas abertas do Estado. Já estamos com as licenças prontas e vamos começar o projeto, em uma cultura que vai gerar empregos, já que precisa de uma mão de obra maior”, contou Buchalla.

Ele adiantou ainda que na área será feito um viveiro, com as mudas de dentro do próprio Estado. “Resolvemos fazer neste modelo até para garantia de não trazer de outros estados em função da doença de greening. Já compramos uma parte da irrigação para começar o plantio”, completou.

A coordenadora da horticultura da Semadesc (Secretaria de Meio Ambiente, Desenvolvimento, Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação), Karla Nadai, destacou que com o anúncio desta nova produção no Estado, a previsão é que o plantio da citricultura no Mato Grosso do Sul chegue a 15 mil hectares. “Uma grande evolução no setor, que antes contava apenas com 2 mil hectares plantados”.

Ambiente positivo

Para contribuir com este novo cenário positivo, o Governo de Mato Grosso do Sul tem feito sua parte dando todas as condições possíveis para o investimento robusto no setor. Questões importantes para viabilizar o negócio, como infraestrutura, logística, escoamento da produção e até mediação na questão energética estão tendo o apoio dos órgãos estaduais.

Isto contribuiu para vinda de novos investidores de São Paulo, que encontraram no Estado uma alternativa segura da produção, em função da expansão da doença greening no estado paulista, que já afetou a produção que é a maior do país. Mato Grosso do Sul tem uma legislação rígida, com ‘tolerância zero’ a doença. Aqui se a planta estiver doente deve ser erradicada e o pomar monitorado.

A Iagro (Agência Estadual de Defesa Sanitária Animal e Vegetal) inclusive emitiu um alerta aos produtores rurais e a população geral sobre o perigo da compra de mudas irregulares, que podem trazer graves problemas aos pomares do Estado, principalmente os urbanos e domésticos em função da doença.

Gigante do setor, o Grupo Cutrale, por exemplo, faz parte deste novo momento de Mato Grosso do Sul. Eles anunciaram o investimento de R$ 500 milhões no plantio de 5 mil hectares de laranja no Estado, que serão produzidos na Fazenda Aracoara, que fica às margens da rodovia BR-060, nos limites entre Sidrolândia e Campo Grande.

Os investimentos seguem em outras cidades. O Grupo Junqueira Rodas começou em abril o projeto de citricultura em Paranaíba, com a intenção de plantar em 1,5 mil hectares, e já anunciaram que vão produzir em Naviraí no segundo semestre, com mais 2,5 mil hectares.
